

The extensive experience as a dancer and the continuous research of new expressive means, lead her to explore new possibilities of visual language and movement. In June 1999 she creates her first choreography.
Vanessa, over the years, developed a more experimental and contemporary choreographic work, melting dance with contemporary theatre, visual and multimedia art. Her choreographies have been performed in Austria, Italy, Rwanda, and Tanzania in collaboration with numerous theatres and staged for international festivals in Vienna, Linz, Venice (Bienniale Danza), Spoleto (Festival of Two Worlds), Prague, Rome (Rome Philharmonic and Auditorium, Park of Music), Tagliacozzo (Middle Summer Festival), Kigali, and Dar es Salaam (visa2dance festival). After working as artistic director of the “Contemporaneamente dance group”, she established the company “FLUSSO Dance Project” (www.flussodanceproject.com), of which she is currently artistic director and resident choreographer. She is the Artistic Advisor of the Visa 2 Dance Festival, wwwvisa2dance.com (edition 2008-2009-2010-2011). In May/Juin 2010 she took part of the CHOREOGRAPHIC COLLISION project at Biennale Danza in Venice, in the 7th International contemporary dance festival directed by Ismael Ivo. She is currently living and working in New York City.
